English translation
1. Oh, the grace of God, What a wondrous gift! If you had a thousand tongues, What could you say? Since He has found me, I stand in awe!
God found me On the path of destruction; The pleasures of the world abandoned me, I was deaf and lost; I lived and ran Only on emptiness.
3. I was ruled by desires That consumed my soul, They blinded me in my wretched state, Yet I embraced them. I could not resist them, Even as they destroyed me.
4. Oh, a man so lost, Wandering with blinded eyes, Running toward destruction, To the jaws of death! Oh, how I mocked The one who tried to warn me!
5. But Jesus found me By His boundless grace; Had He left me to my fate, Where would I be? Swiftly, He rescued me, And held me to life.
6. He put me in the right path, Restoring my hearing, Breaking the chains that bound me, Giving me new life. I felt transformed, And now i am saved!
