English translation
In the pit of suffering, Where I was lost, When I was about to perish, Jesus, remember me; You appeared and comforted me, With the wonders of Your goodness, I learned to rejoice, Because I saw Your mercy.
But I still crawl; Even now, My conscience still troubles me, True faith is lacking, I remember my sins, I keep hesitating, I forget the Healer Who says He can heal me.
Jesus said to us: Come to Me, do not fear! It is not your tears That can wash away your sins; I am the One who gives forgiveness, I am the One who heals you! Lord, if You say so, How can we doubt?
