English translation

1. If I am without You, Jesus, my good Shepherd, If I am without You, Truly I would perish. Where could I find forgiveness For my many sins? Where could I find rest, If You were gone?

2. How could I escape the wrath Of the day of judgment? How could I escape the wrath If You do not save me? And the dreadful punishments, That will come after death, And the death that overtakes me, How could I avoid them?

3. Now, what can I say to You, When You have saved me? Now, what can I say to You? I say: Oh, Lord! Your amazing love Is what comforts my heart; Your amazing love, How can I ever thank it?
